Bedgrove v Prestwood (12/05/2002)
2001 - 2002 Season, Under 12s Divn 3 play-off



It was a warm and sunny occasion at the Hithercroft ground for this game to determine the Division’s Champions, both teams having already gained promotion. The game was full of excitement and both sides exhibited some skilful football. The Bedgrove No2 played very well and scored his first 2 goals in the first half, the first from on the left and lobbing the keeper and the second in a similar manner from the right. The score at half-time was 2-0.

In the second half the No2 added another goal to his tally and another was scored for Bedgrove without reply by the end of the game, the final score being 4-0.

Prestwood’s No 7 had been very impressive and the diminutive Bedgrove goalkeeper had also played a good game.

The referee was Stephen Greenhill who is now embarking on a 4-year course at University and we wish him well in his studies.
