*** Welcome to the AFC Hithercroft Football Club pages
***
Our home ground is The Pedestal which is on the A4010 (Bradenham
Road) at the junction with the A40 near West Wycombe (see Map
accessible from the 'Where We Play' box on the left). We were
established in 1969 and initially covered many age ranges. This
website covers the 1998/9 Hithercroft Boys Under 12s (playing
in the Wycombe and South Bucks Minor Football League) through
to when they became the 2003/4 Hithercroft Youth team (playing
in the South Bucks Youth League). Also represented are the 2003/4
Under 16s team who became Hithercroft Youth for the following
season and then joined the High
Wycombe Sunday Football Combination League for the 2005/6
Season, retaining the 'Hithercroft Youth' name. They were placed
in Division 5 but emerged champions and so were promoted to Division
3. For 2006/7 the team changed their name to AFC Hithercroft and
went on to be runners-up in their division and so gained promotion
into Division 2 for the 2007/8 season. In the 2007/8 season Afc
Hithercroft finished 4th in Division 2 and therefore remain in
Division 2 for the 2008/9 season. Details can be obtained from
the Manager, Mr Pat Vaughey (Tel: 01494 712985 Mob: 07050-154916).
League tables are usually updated on the Monday following each
match. Please note that all views expressed in the Match Reports
and elsewhere on this site are the opinions of myself (Des Ife)
only, and do not necessarily reflect those of other club members
or officials. I hope you enjoy this site and find it interesting
and useful. Please add any comments, suggestions or criticisms
via our Guest Book.
The 'Fixtures & Results Pages' show results for Hithercroft
only (in the Club Section) and for all games in the Division
on a week-by-week basis (in the Full Division Results Section).
A Results Matrix shows all Division results in a more compact
way.
We
regret to announce that Afc Hithercroft has now been disbanded
on 18th January 2009 and will no longer participate in further
matches in the HWSFC. We apologize to the officials of this organisation,
B & B FA and other clubs for any inconvenience that this may
cause them and assure them that the committee had no alternatives
to taking this decision.
There is a possibility that the team may be reformed for the 2009/2010
season so please watch this space.
