Our home ground is The Pedestal which is on the A4010 (Bradenham
Road) at the junction with the A40 near West Wycombe (see Map accessible
from the 'Where We Play' box). We were established in 1969 and over
the following years built up to cater for age groups from the Under
11s through to the Under 18s Youth team. Over recent years the lower
age groups have had to close, mainly through lack of parents who
were prepared to manage these teams. At the start of the 2003/4
Season we consisted of the Under 16s (playing in Division 1 of the
Wycombe and South Bucks Minor Football League) and the Hithercroft
Youth team (playing in the South Bucks Youth League). Unfortunately
the Youth team was disbanded in December 2003. For 2004/5 Season
we just had a Youth Team which played in white shirts, black shorts
and black socks with a second strip of yellow shirts, blue shorts
and blue socks and we finished 3rd in our Division at the end of
the season. At the start of the 2005/6 Season we joined the High
Wycombe Sunday Football Combination League and, like all the other
'new' teams, were placed in Division 5. We finished as champions
of the division and for the 2006/7 Season were promoted into Division
3, changing our name to 'Afc Hithercroft' and our main kit to all-red.
We ended the season in second place and so have been promoted into
Division 2 for the 2007/8 Season. We finished in 4th place at the
end of the 2007/8 Season and so will remain in Division 2 for next
season but hope to gain promotion to Division 1 for the following
season.
